ECHEA holds a wealth of ideas, projects, works, and relationships that span multiple genres.

We play.

We compose.

We understand our work as resonating vessels for the feelings, sensations, and ideas that arise when we create. Together or in solitude.

Echea borrows the notion of resonance from the vases hidden in temples, theatres, and other public spaces of ancient societies, where voices used in ritual, learning, and entertainment were amplified through their careful placement.

We interrogate the trope of the lone hero. Our achievements can be traced to the efforts of many, those who work alongside us and those who came before. We believe each of us is made up of many voices, collaborating and contending within the unconscious, and that our task is to acknowledge and honour them through our actions.

In 2025 Echea has grown out of the platform Ørenlyd, founded by Simon Voigt in 2019.
